Holy Yoga meets every Friday in the sanctuary at Covenant at 10:00 a.m.
Holy Yoga is a physical expression of
Mark 12:30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
We are worshiping, surrendering and praising God through exercise just as we do through song and prayer. It is another way to spend time with God.
What is a HY class like?
All levels of HY classes open and close in prayer and are lead with a Biblical scripture intention. Many will include 2-3 minutes of guided mediation at the open or close of class that will relate to the scripture intention. Physical movement is the largest portion of the class and ranges from 25-75 minutes depending on the type of class.
Who Teaches the Class?
Staci Talley-Moles was a student of secular Yoga for three years and was lead to Holy Yoga by a yearning to spend time with God, more than just the hour or two she previously set aside in the morning. She combined her passion for God with her passion for exercise and is now a certified Holy Yoga Instructor.
This will be a level 1 Gentle Yoga Flow class. Because it is a gentle class, a mat is helpful but not necessary. We will spend most of our time moving on the floor. If the floor is not accessible to you, many of the movements can be modified for an armless chair.
Staci’s prayer is that you will have a restorative physical experience focused on spending time with God and, through God’s grace. Feedback is encouraged and welcome! God’s grace will cover all of us as we step out in faith!
